FVL was recorded between 2016 and 2018. He lives with his parents and eight older siblings in the hamlet Lanivaqa, which is a bit further away from the Kamanakam main road. FVL’s parents speak a lot of Qaqet to him, but with his older siblings, Tok Pisin is the main language of interaction. Many of the recordings take place in the garden, where we can see FVL enjoying his freedom to play. Some of the recording show his father in dyadic interaction with him. FVL is the baby of the family, a happy child, eager to discover the world around him.
